Sean was excellent. We had him install new prefinished floors and had our stairs stained and we are very pleased with the results. First of all, the quality of the work was outstanding. The floors look great and it is clear by watching him through the process and looking at the end result, that he is very proficient and skilled in his trade. Second, we had a unique situation where we needed some flexibility and needed the project done in two phases. Sean was very flexible with us and enabled us to get the job done in the way we needed. Very pleased!

Sean did an outstanding job refinishing all of our hardwood floors on the first floor of our home. He was always very courteous, prompt, and worked extremely hard on our project. He even went out of his way to finish our flooring before we moved into our home. He did most of our project at night after a long day of work.
We plan to use Sean and Maxwell Hardwood Floors to install hardwood flooring in all of our bedrooms! I highly recommend Maxwell Hardwood Floors! Sean and his company are the very best!

We called Sean a few weeks ago having found that there was water and rug damage in our son’s bedroom. We were in a time crunch due to movement of furniture and kids’ rooms. Sean responded promptly with an estimate and fit our project in within 2 weeks of first contact. He repaired and refinished the floor this week and it is beautiful. By far, Sean is the most responsive and reliable contractor we have ever worked with. Important to note that his pricing is fair and competitive, too. Save yourself the phone calls and go with Sean.

We hired Maxwell Hardwood to refinish our existing hardwood which covers the entire first floor of our home. We also requested the installation of new hardwood to replace a plywood inlay in our main living room in a herringbone pattern. Our tastes prefer a lighter, more neutral/natural wood tone that typically comes with white oak. However, we discovered that we have a blend of white oak in some rooms and red oak in others. Based on some research, we had some concerns with trying to refinish to a natural look while maintaining a consistent appearance across both the red and white oak. Sean personally managed the project and was able to almost perfectly match the wood tones across all the rooms and the herringbone floor looks amazing. It was certainly a positive knowing that Sean, as the owner, was handling all of the work personally which gave us comfort it would be done right. We are very satisfied with the project and would definitely recommend!
